The Teaching for Understanding Framework was developed at Project Zero at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. This framework is intended to enhance understanding and what it actually means to do so. It also ensures that these processes are outlined clearly and in a concise manner. We will explore the criteria for the Teaching for Understanding Framework, what it means to teach for understanding, how this can be applied in the K-5 classroom, and how we can continue our learning after the PZ Pittsburgh experience.
